9# Geeks Culture. Are You A Part Of It ?

Hey Friends,

Are you aware of the 'Geek Culture'??? No? Well there might be some who may be knowing about this or even be a part of it just like me. Geek culture is new style of present world, we are into tech stuffs, we love fiction and sci-fi stuffs, also we have a reasonable amount of knowledge about near about everything and are always hungry for something new. But don't rank us with those nerds...there is a fine line between us. Nerds have a very deep knowledge about anything and everything that they might be know, they are kind of saints like people who would prefer working on various problems of maths or physics over chilling even after their final exams gets over. We geeks lies somewhere between the pop culture and the hipsters. Geeks are usually very proud of  being so, and don't hesitate to be counted as one.

We geeks are also somewhat sensitive beings. We cannot tolerate and misjudgment on the things we love or have a soft corner, we can debate on a particular topic over and over the whole day and night in order to make our point. Technology oriented geeks, in particular, now exert a powerful influence over the global economy and society. Whereas previous generations of geeks tended to operate in research departments, laboratories and support functions, now they increasingly occupy senior corporate positions, and wield considerable commercial and political influence. When U.S. President Barack Obama met with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and the CEOs of the world’s largest technology firms at a private dinner in Woodside, California on 17 February 2011, New York magazine ran a story titled ‘The world’s most powerful man meets President Obama. At the time, Zuckerberg’s company had grown to over one billion users.


Geek culture has also turned out to be a fashion stream nowadays, with large Ray-Ban glasses (without actual lens mostly), t-shirts with techy stuffs on them, carrying a high-end smartphone (even though most of them never really know most its features) and all-n-all trying to look like an into-studies guys :P . Geeks are are incredibly serious about stuffs like science, space age, technology etc. 
There may not be anyone who is more updated about technology. We like the Nexus device of Google who get the first hand information and leaks about anything and everything that is happening in the technology world. Geeks are also known for their deep love for gadgets and always on run for the latest ones. We would clearly prefer gadgets over girls/boys without any confusion.

Difference Between a Geek and a Nerd:
