1# We Are Standing in a Crowd

Hey Friends,

It's been a long, long day...and I had an argument with one of my friends couple of hours ago on how the students nowadays are pursuing a career blindly in order to just earn money. Lets take example of our own nation where students opting for science stream in classes 11th and 12th are considered to be superior over those who are pursuing commerce stream. It is because most of the people don't know how broad scope is there in other streams like Commerce and Arts.

Why is it so?

India produce approximately 79% B Tech. and 18% MBAs, doctors, B Comm. graduates every year, out of which more than 33% are unemployed. It is believed that a boy/girl who is B Tech. or B Comm. will lead  to somewhere and earn money, but the point is where? Is earning 8,000 or 10,000 a month is enough? Because most of the best jobs are taken a way by the most genius students of the nation graduating from the top most colleges like IIT, NIT, Shriram, St. Xavier etc. and the rest of the few better jobs are aquired by the STs, SCs and OBCs via quota, which mean what left to you is the scrap jobs were you will work your a** off and still get nowhere.

Another reasons are:

- Afraid of what neighbors would say.
- Parents forcing to opt for B Tech. or B Comm. in order to protect their reputation in the society.
- Lack of knowledge or lack of resources about other careers.

Consequences.

Many students suicide after their class 12th board result, left does the same when they don't get job and others at the age of 28 to 34 due to hyper-tension and high blood pressure. According to science, stress is created when a person this working under a lot of pressure and is not getting proper rest and is also deprived of happiness in life. This is all because people are not getting time for themselves.

Look at the bar graph below:

What can be done?

Getting 98% and 99% in class 12th board doen't mean that you cannot go for a career that is compleatly off the the road. I myself want to do something that most of my batchmates don't know about i.e Video Game Designing. Have you ever thought of turning your hobby or passion into proffession? No? Its not too late now. I often wonder that how can person work for 8 hours a day, doing something that is not give him/her any happiness and satisfaction in doing so? How can a person just work for money? In this era, there is no work in this world that will not allow you to earn money.

If you love food, start a restraunt. Do you love photos? Why not become a photographer!!! Do you love cartoons and stories and want to your own cartoon series? Animation is career for you!!! In order to opt a unique or different career you must explore yourself. Try to understand which activity gives you the most satisfaction and you can do in over and over again...

Emerging Career :

Animation : This is a market that will be in most demand till 2015-2017
Video Game: Video games are not a child's toy anymore, it has a market of $21 billion, and is assumed to grow $217 billion till 2017.
Photography: Best for the people who loves to live off-the-track.
And many many more....

Final Words.

It might be hard to pursue a career that is less known and the people around you may not like you doing so but just let the people go to hell, because its your life and you are the master of it. Late Steve Jobs, one of the most successful and innovative person of the decade said that "Our life is just too short, so stop living someone else life." These are the words that always help me through when I feel that I am off the track.

According to me "One should turn their passion into their job. One must work for self happiness and satisfaction and not just for the sake of money. Because its the murderers and kidnappers who works for cash not you!!!".
